MY OWN JOB IN THE FUTURE

   

 Hello everyone, in the previous blog I discussed about (link) and (link). There I discussed about technological advances that have an impact on the role of humans in various fields of work. In my blog entitled (link), there I discuss how the role of humans in work can be replaced by technology. And in my blog entitled (link), I discuss new job opportunities due to technology.

What about your own job in the future? 

Regarding my work in the future, of course I have thought about it. For my job in the future, I chose a job in the field of building, namely architectural work. There are several reasons why I chose this job, among others:

Personal Reasons

Of course, I chose this job for personal reasons. Since childhood, I have loved drawing pictures and designing houses. As a child, I loved the various house designs in the weekly magazines that my mother bought for me. Therefore, in SMKN 4 Semarang I chose the building department because of my interest in building design.

Another reason was because I wanted to collaborate with my father's business who is a contractor. It would be a perfect combination if my father and I could collaborate. Me with planning and new knowledge and my father with implementation and experience.

Job Opportunities

Regarding job opportunities, of course the opportunities for architects in the future are still very wide. I can conclude this after I attended the BIM training at SMK 3 Semarang by PUPR. During the training, I learnt a lot about technological advances in the building sector. There are so many software developments and tools that do not replace but help the role of an architect. These tools still require an architect to run them. Therefore, the work of an architect in the future will become easier. 

  In addition, in the future the role of an architect will be very much needed. Because in the future, development will continue to grow with the times. There will definitely be new buildings and cities in the future to meet the needs of the times. Especially in our beloved country, Indonesia. As we already know that, our government is currently running a new capital city project called the IKN project. Projects like that are one of the big opportunities for architects in the future. 

So those are some of the reasons why I chose architecture to be my job in the future.  Starting from personal reasons to the opportunities in the future.
